Field Influence Operator
Carries out the directorate's field influence operations against credible threats to continuity — deniably.
Role Summary
The Field Influence Operator is the directorate's hands in the world — the operator who shapes, discredits, and contains a target according to the influence-tier set in the dossier. The role runs surveillance, source work, and on-the-ground influence operations under standing dispatch, and answers to the Rules of Engagement on every action: the most deniable means capable of holding the threat, never one tier above. Where analysts build the case, the operator closes it without a trace.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute influence operations against logged targets at the authorized tier, from passive observation to sanctioned containment, never exceeding the dossier ceiling without sign-off.
- Run field surveillance, source cultivation, and material recovery, sealing every exhibit into custody before movement.
- Maintain cover, communications discipline, and a clean attribution trail so no action can be traced to the Directorate.
- Coordinate with Dispatch on tasking, recon handover, and the Vector fleet, and stand down on the Rules-of-Engagement refusal when doctrine and an order conflict.
- File after-action reports, deniability memos, and custody logs for every operation, complete enough to reconstruct long after stand-down.
- Hold the field watch on rotation, responding to escalation, exposure risk, and whistleblower-containment tasking.
Required Qualifications
- Field-operations experience under discretion and load.
- Working knowledge of surveillance craft, source handling, and evidence sealing.
- Absolute communications and attribution discipline.
- Demonstrated judgement under the Rules of Engagement — proportion, deniability, refusal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Investigative, intelligence, or special-operations background.
- Defensive driving and close-protection training.
- Familiarity with the Dispatch dossier and tasking pipeline.
