Why This Metric Matters

Kompromat Coverage is the Directorate's primary deterrence instrument against external threats. A high KC ensures that adversaries — journalists, regulators, rival executives — can be neutralized through reputational leverage before they act, eliminating the need for costlier and more visible interventions. When coverage drops below threshold, the Directorate loses its ability to suppress hostile actors on short notice, forcing escalation to operational countermeasures that carry significantly greater exposure risk.
