Lantern · “The Archive”
The Archive
Profile
An anonymous leak platform that has obtained — but not yet authenticated — a fragment of the document that would end the Directorate: the Theta-Vax manufacturing record dated before Strain Theta's release. Lantern itself cannot be sued or seized; the people who run it can. The entire effort is bent on identifying the operators before they verify the file, and on flooding the platform with forgeries so the real document drowns in noise.
Modus Operandi
Accepts encrypted submissions, mirrors everything, and authenticates slowly. Its strength is anonymity; its weakness is that authentication is human and the humans can be found.
Threat Activity
- Hosts a partial copy of the Theta-Vax timeline
- Solicits and publishes directorate documents
- Mirrored across hostile jurisdictions
- Has not yet authenticated its most dangerous file
Evidence & Indicators
- A Theta-Vax timeline fragment posted but flagged 'unverified'
- Submission metadata partially de-anonymized by PANACEA
- Mirror nodes in three hostile jurisdictions
Known Incidents
Published the buried Lower-Rhine memo in 2089; the Directorate survived only because no one connected it to the pairing.
Linked Operations
Linked Assets
Handling & Rules of Engagement
- Contain — unmask operators; do not engage the platform directly
- Flood with high-quality forgeries so the real file loses credibility
- Sanction reserved to the Director if authentication is imminent
Standing Note
This is the one. The dated countermeasure is the only artifact that proves intent. Unmask the operators, poison the well with plausible fakes, and pray the real file is dismissed as one of them.
